Whipped Feta Dip
Ingredients
- 200g feta cheese
- 3–4 tablespoons Greek yoghurt (adjust depending on how thick your yoghurt is and how soft you want the dip)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- A squeeze of lemon juice (to taste)
- Black pepper
Method
Add the feta, Greek yoghurt, and a generous grind of black pepper to a food processor or use a hand (stick) blender. Blend for 2–3 minutes until smooth and creamy, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides so everything mixes evenly.
If you don’t have a blender, you can mash and whisk it by hand in a bowl until as smooth as possible.
Towards the end of blending, slowly drizzle in the olive oil. This helps create a lighter, fluffier texture. But if you’re trying to count the macros etc and want less calories – you don’t have to add the oil.
Add a squeeze of lemon juice and taste, adjusting if needed.
Flavour ideas
Once you’ve made the base, you can customise it however you like:
- Oregano and lemon zest
- Chopped olives
- Sun-dried tomatoes
- Garlic or chilli
This is a really flexible recipe -feel free to experiment.
