A deeper, vibrant and leafier version of Calabrese, purple sprouting broccoli is very nutritious and easy to cook. Steam or boil for just a few minutes, add salt and pepper and a drizzle of butter if you wish. You may want to trim the woodier part of the stalks or any tough leaves before cooking.
